Defined as a 5-6month period in women embracing oocyte growth, fertilisation, conceptus formation and development to week 10 if gestation. During which evidence shows nutrition and lifestyle factors can have an affect. (Steegers-Theunissen et al., 2013)

So what does this actually mean? it means you could have a positive impact through the food that you eat, on how your oocytes (immature egg cells) grow in the 3 months prior to natural conception or Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART).

How cool is that?!

All the more reason to good variety and nutrients into your daily food choices.
