Training as a Natural Chef I learnt to eat organic where possible but this is especially important when it comes to animal proteins (if you eat them). Eating good quality animal proteins from grass fed meats, pasture-raised organic poultry and wild-caught fish can help minimise exposure to things like antibiotics, pesticides and GMO animal feed used in more intensive factory farming. ⁠ ⁠

I love the quote by Michael Pollan "You are what you eat eats". Think about that one for a second...⁠ ⁠

A fertility journey involves looking at ways to lessen your toxic load and choosing good quality animal protein where possible is a great way to start. ⁠ ⁠ A 2012 literature review by Compassion in World Farming found that higher welfare animal products (grass fed meats, organic pastured-raised poultry, wild-caught fish) have higher levels of Omega 3 and higher levels of antioxidants like vitamin E and beta-carotene. ⁠ ⁠ https://www.ciwf.com/research/human-health/nutrition-report/
