Hello It’s Me.

So this is my website. My way of sharing things I’ve learnt on my journey to better health, wellness and fertility.

I’m a qualified Natural Chef (College of Naturopathic Medicine) and a Nutrition & Lifestyle Coach (Institute of Health Sciences) as well as a Stylist and Copywriter.

As it was National Fertility Awareness Week last week and also World Fertility Day, I thought I’d share a little of my experience with fertility.

5 years ago as an overworked, stressed out, eating on the run 39yr old I did 2 cycles of IVF with my then boyfriend. I got pregnant both times but sadly neither ended with a baby. Fast forward to 2021, as a 44yr old single woman, this year I’ve done 2 rounds of IVF (2 unsuccessful transfers, 1 frozen embryo in storage), 2 rounds of mild IVF collection (1 frozen embryo in storage) and soon to do another collection round.

That will be 5 IVFs all in one year.

It blows my mind to think of what the body (and mind) can go through and come back from in such a short space of time. I don’t doubt for one second that my chef and nutrition training is what has allowed me and my body to be strong enough to go through all of this alone.

It’s an experience that I don’t wish on anyone but if you have to go through it then my one piece of advice is to go back to basics first and fuel your body and mind with the nutrients it needs to keep up the fight.
