National Fertility Awareness

Last week saw National Fertility Awareness Week across social media platforms. A week that aims to change perceptions of fertility and infertility. If you’re experiencing fertility problems then it may already feel like a daily struggle and not something that comes to mind just once a year. By encouraging each other to raise our voices when it comes to fertility and infertility we may just be helping others who feel in the dark with it all. Struggling with fertility can be a lonely journey whether you’re in a relationship or trying solo. The lows can be the lowest of lows. It’s hard to put into words what you’re feeling. Hard to explain to someone who doesn’t understand what you’re going through. But next time someone asks you ‘How are you today?’ if you feel up to it tell them the truth. Tell them how you’re feeling on your fertility journey. A shared story may lead to a piece of advice that may help you or you may even find that person has a similar story you never even knew about. Let’s open up the conversation.
